It shows the monitor as a Goldstar Company Ltd 34" and the top resolution it allows is 1920x1080. However, Fedora (gnome) does not detect the monitor correctly. I have recently purchased an ultrawidescreen monitor - resolution is 2560x1080. See graphic below.Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I might use this regularly now.Īnother feature that I like with this monitor is the ability to change the screen layout to one of the several built-in styles. I recently installed some development tools that will benefit from dual-monitor setup. Now both my monitors are connected to the graphics card with different types of cables (because it has only one of each type).Įverything works as expected. Today I removed the DP cable and used an HDMI cable connected to the graphics card. Also, when a graphics card is available on the computer, this BIOS version is limiting the Plug-n-Play features on the DisplayPort directly on the motherboard. The problem was that dual monitor support was turned off in the BIOS settings. I didn't pay attention for the past year because I wasn't using it as much. Update: It is not an issue with the monitor but a mismatch between the connection and computer's BIOS. I'd give Dell a call and have them figure it out. I've since put each on their own card connected via DisplayPort and that works perfectly as well. I had one connected to DisplayPort and the other to HDMI. I run 2 of them on a homebuilt system and they are recognized properly when the machine boots and wakes from sleep. On restart, Windows recognizes the monitor and shows all options. At that point, I have to restart Windows. Windows makes a sound to indicate that something is plugged in, but Dell Display Manager says that there is no compatible monitor. While I am running Windows, I have to turn the monitor on. I just didn't care to do that because I don't use this monitor all the time. Or, a Google search can provide even better solutions. I am sure that Dell Support can provide a fix. My expectation based on using multiple monitors for work is that any monitor should be plug-and-play, and Windows should recognize it on the fly. Windows makes a sound to indicate that something is plugged in, but Dell Display Manager says that there is no compatible monitor. I'll give some details on the second point above but you can skip if the dual monitor doesn't apply to you.

![]() Did someone doctor the recording without Brown's knowledge? Indeed, a more representative title for the album would have been that of the 13th track, "No Filter." That phrase reflects his personality and perhaps his quality control. Brown has been behind so much X-rated material that, when he keeps it clean, as he does throughout "Make Love," the effect is jarring. Some of the slow jams, like the Keith Sweat-referencing "Who's Gonna (Nobody)" and Jodeci-referencing "Proof," are built on slinking productions that rate with the best of mid-2010s pop-R&B. With rare exception, Brown keeps it explicit, focused on flaunting. Girl, indeed I can run it, run it (Come here) (Chris, come on, man) Verse 3: Chris Brown & Jermaine Dupri Youll see, girl, I can set you off. Brown doubles down on his swashbuckling persona, boasting "I'm a champagne-pourin' n*gga, I like big asses and tits" and "You know I don't love 'em, and you know I don't cuff 'em," and imploring "Can I stick it in a little bit/Don't be shy, just a little bit." Second single "Zero," a disco-funk throwback replete with talkbox, is as spiteful as anything else in the Chris Brown catalog, where the singer scoffs, "You think I'm thinkin' 'bout your ass?" There's some irony in writing, recording, and releasing a song bragging about not thinking of an ex. It begins with a song titled "Back to Sleep," a lullaby of sorts, but it's definitely not for his daughter, and the majority of what follows is a qualitative step back from previous solo album X. Tied at 104-104, Luka Doncic drains the step-back 3-pointer as time expires to lift the Mavs past the Celtics. In Windows 10, you decide when and how to get the latest updates to keep your device. Named after his daughter, and with an endearing portrait that features her on the front, Royalty nonetheless is designed more to please Brown's devout fans than illustrate growth. The title and cover of its parent album, however, once publicized, seemed to signal a potential shift farther away from the carousing and belligerence that have dominated his work since Exclusive. Woozy ballad "Liquor," with its hook of "All I wanna do is drink and fuck, drink, drink, and fuck," was not atypical for him. PopCap wanted to focus on polishing multiplayer as much as possible with this first outing, and given the game’s release schedule there wasn’t time to do a proper story mode. Non-competitive gamers won’t have quite as much to do in Garden Warfare, however. The bright, cheerful visuals, sense of humor, and delightful on-screen characters all grabbed me in a way that few shooters do. Team deathmatch has been done to death in first- and third-person shooters, but Garden Warfare never feels too samey. It supports two 12-versus-12 game types: “Team Vanquish” and “Gardens & Graveyards.” The latter (which we didn’t pay) is objective based, with one side defending their base from the other’s onslaught.Īs for Team Vanquish, the goal is simply to help your team reach 50 kills (called Vanquishes here). And like the Battlefield games of old, large-scale competitive multiplayer is this title’s main draw. Garden Warfare runs on Dice’s Frostbite Engine, the same framework that powers Battlefield 4. These abilities take time to recharge, so players will still need to do some old-fashioned shooting as well. The plants' Cactus gets to fly around as a Garlic drone, while the zombies' Engineer has a flying drone of his own. The Peashooter, for instance, can set down roots and become a Gatling Pea, fire explosive Chili beans, or become Hyper and move at super speed. Players can unlock variants of each unit such as the Ice Cactus, whose shots can slow and eventually freeze opponents.Įvery unit boasts three special abilities in addition to its standard attacks. The zombies have a Foot Soldier, All Star (football player), Scientist (healer), and Engineer. On the Plants side, we saw the Peashooter (the basic all-around soldier), Sunflower (medic), Chomper (stealth), and Cactus (long-range). The two teams consist of multiple characters for players to choose from. ![]() Owing to its predecessors’ design, plants are more defensive in nature while the zombies favor offense. The plants and zombies each have unique abilities that the other doesn’t. Garden Warfare is unique among competitive shooters in that its two factions are asymmetrical in nature. The sound effects (which I could hear just fine) have the typical PopCap zing, and Crazy Dave still makes the unintelligible voice samples he’s known for. I didn’t get to hear much of Garden Warfare’s music, but it promises to feature new iterations of classic themes from the first two games. ![]() Zombies 2 and many classic LucasArts games. On the sound front, the music comes from Peter McConnell, who previously composed the soundtrack for Plants vs. They radiate with personality - far more than you’d see in a typical FPS or third-person shooter. Anyone who has seen the toys or plushes would already know that, but the PvZ characters look even better in full 3D action. ![]() From a purely aesthetic standpoint, the many varied plants and zombies all translate perfectly to three dimensions. Garden Warfare captures the feeling of Plants vs. To successfully spin a series off into a new genre, you need two things: proper integration of the original games’ characters and universe, and the new game must actually meet the genre standards for quality. While I love Blonde tremendously and it was extremely important to my development as a person as well as a listener of music, I think Endless is too often overlooked as a clever workaround by Frank, and not as the masterpiece it is within itself. The world raved at the genius move, and Endless was relegated being obsessed over by Frank Ocean fans on reddit, while Blonde debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It was revealed that Frank had released Endless to fulfill his contract with Def Jam so he could release Blonde independently. The next day, Frank released Blonde, which was a much more straightforward album, with less lo-fi obscuring and with clearly more polish and deliberate songwriting. ![]() The internet exploded with anticipation, wondering what these cryptic hints within the livestream could mean, writing words they thought they heard within the ambient noise, piecing together numbers within the background, and then all of a sudden on August 19, 2016, Frank dropped Endless, a video album featuring lo-fi production techniques, avant-garde aesthetics, spacious and sparse instrumentation, and the much refined rapping and singing of one Frank Ocean. However, tin the summer of 2016, a couple live streams of a warehouse with random positions of ambient noise, welding sounds, someone walking in front of the camera, and several other oddities sprang up on Frank’s personal website. Most other artists would have their careers stunted by this kind of absence from both the limelight and from producing music, and Frank very well could’ve been had his silence been broken by a different project. However, Frank had become disenchanted with the glamour, the award shows, the fanfare, belonging to a record label, the constructs and pressure of fame, and for these and countless other potential reasons, Frank isn’t heard from much at all for 4 years. The album wins a Grammy, Frank comes out in a letter that he released with the album, and the path to R&B superstardom seemed all but fulfilled. Channel Orange is a reference to the color Frank most strongly associates with his first time falling in love, and the album certainly conjures the warmth, beauty, innocence, and potent sexuality that I’m sure many would associate with their first love. was a favorite for critics in 2011, and having been a part of Odd Future Frank was already well known, especially amongst teens/young adults). Season 4 moves briskly along as the creative team attempts to wrap up a myriad of character arcs and overall plot points. It's here that Juliana is rescued by alt-John Smith and his son, hale and hearty Alt-Thomas ( Quinn Lord), alive and well. We learn, early on in the first moments of Season 4, that Juliana transported herself out of John Smith's ( Rufus Sewell) clutches in the main universe and landed in an alt-universe, complete with newly received gunshot wound. It takes her the full run of three seasons to master the ability to travel between worlds, but when she does in the Season 3 finale, it's a game-changer. She's a sort of woman out of time and place, the linchpin of the rebellion (and of the narrative itself), and the key to the war between worlds as a constant. These films show the possibility of victory over the Nazis and Japanese Imperials alike, and they also hint at the potential for those who can physically travel between worlds.Īnd that's where protagonist Juliana Crain ( Alexa Davalos) comes in. So while the gears of empire and rebellion turn in New York City, Denver, and San Francisco, encompassing the men and women on both sides of the conflict in a rather realistic way, the sci-fi element of the story comes into play when a series of films showing alternate realities are discovered.
